The reasons being:
R ot in the lower left rocker panel (doesn’t need to be completely replaced, a patch from someone with welding skills will do)
Rear
right
wheel
is “wonky”, which I know for a fact is the wheel bearing, easily fixable.
Handbrake
doesn’t hold properly, and the left rear side brakes with more force than the right. A new handbrake cable should help with that.
Failed eco-test. That’s my biggest concern. I’ll have to get the car into a shop and have a professional look at it and fine tune it. That’s way over my head. I hope a tuning will fix it and that I won’t need to buy any new parts.
I now have 15 days to get it sorted so that I can pass and be legal to drive for another year. I wonder how much this’ll cost me...

Good luck mate, for you and the Twingo.

Failed for rocker rot? Do you mean a body panel or a structural bit?
You should see some of the rot we have on the road in Ohio, where there is no inspection besides emissions and only in one population center.

So this wouldn’t pass inspection
Sadly here in Quebec this is real

Yeah it’s the CO2 emissions testing, I think. Huh, I didn’t think of the cat. I just assumed it had to be fine tuned with an OBD port and stuff. We
’ll see what the mechanic says...

welp good luck :)
if it does turn out to be the cat at least thats not a hugely expensive part on a twingo

Thankfully just a little bit is on the structural parts, most is just on the lowest part of the body panel...
And I know, I still can’t wrap my head around how little inspection there is in the States. When I was there in CA and Arizona and Nevada I saw some really dodgy stuff, pickups with their rear axles bent out of shape, or cars with seriously underinflated tires, or Camrys with a small dent on the bumper. Crazy.

Not CO2. CO2 is normal . CO, NOx or HC are the issues.

Oh man, that’s not even bad. One time I saw an old pickup (couldn’t tell what, all recognizable bits had rusted off) that was dog tracking about 15° and obvious structural failure in the frame between cab and bed. The whole truck was bent up, with the middle a good foot higher than the front and back. Even more worrisome, I saw this truck going 80 on the highway.
